Our Story

Hi, I'm Elisa, and welcome to Rosewood & Fig Flower Farm. I'm so glad you've found us…

Rosewood & Fig grew from a simple love of flowers and bees and what started as a passion turned into our little flower farm where the seasons set the pace and life feels a little slower.

In a world that often feels so busy, I love creating little moments for people to pause. Whether it’s bringing a bunch of our farm grown scented blooms to your kitchen bench, lighting one of our beeswax candles at the end of a busy day, or spending a morning on the farm surrounded by flowers and fresh country air.

Everything here is grown, made and shared with care. Our flowers are grown with the seasons using organic, regenerative and permaculture practices, whilst providing food and habitat for bees and other pollinators. Our beeswax candles are hand-poured using 100% pure beeswax sourced from local beekeepers, supporting an industry that's close to my heart. And throughout the seasons, I love opening the farm for workshops where you can come to slow down, learn something new and reconnect with nature. I'm so happy you're here, and I can't wait to share this little piece of the farm with you.

How we beganIt all started with a single beehive tucked beneath two old trees—a Rosewood and a Fig.

Back then, I had no idea those trees would one day lend their names to a flower farm, or that bees would lead me down a path of permaculture, food growing, horticulture and, eventually, flowers.

For years I worked in schools educating and sharing my love of growing food and bee keeping with students, along with designing and maintaining food gardens for Hunter Valley restaurants. But when Varroa mite arrived in Australia it changed the future of beekeeping, it felt like the right time to bring Rosewood and Fig back home to the farm.

Today, Rosewood & Fig is our little patch of slow living, surrounded by blooms and bees. Everything we do is guided by the seasons and a desire to care for the land, support pollinators and create something beautiful to share. We hope that, in some small way, Rosewood & Fig helps you to slow down and find joy in the simple things.
