Our Story

The Story of Rosewood & Fig

Its all about the bees and blooms here on our little farm where we grow seasonal organic flowers from seed and make beautiful beeswax products for all occasions.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of this busy world imagine being able to step away for a moment, go a little a slower, and immerse yourself amongst the bees and blooms. Thats what we want to offer you, whether its with our beautiful blooms grown with the seasons, or the flicker of a flame from a handmade beeswax candle or perhaps its more than just a moment and you come and unwind, be inspired and immerse yourself in our blooms at a on-farm workshops

As we bring seeds and sunlight together, its organic, it’s permaculture and it’s local and it all began 16 years ago with my beehives nestled under an ancient Rosewood tree and towering old Fig and a Permaculture course. This then evolved into designing and managing food gardens at a paddock to plate restaurant Circa 1876, school grounds and private gardens, and designing and teaching a permaculture food growing program for school children and beekeeping in high schools.

Then came a new chapter for Rosewood and Fig, a slower more gentle story of growing beautiful seasonal blooms on our little farm and using our bees wax and that of local beekeepers to hand make candles and other wax products. I’m so looking forward to sharing it with you and the bees.

We cherish the land on which we work and give deep respect to the traditional owners of this land the Wonnarua People where sovereignty was never ceded.
