Whilst St Patricks Day is a celebration honouring Irish patron saint St. Patrick, Guinness and all things Irish its also a moment on the calendar to get organised and get those sweet pea seeds into some soil.

The Sweet Pea, like its cousins in the pea family are easy to germinate and grow, and so incredible rewarding! So many sigh as they smell the divine scent of a Sweet Pea as memories are triggered, and they are flooded with joy. For me, like many, it takes me back to my Nanna’s kitchen. Her name was Lily and we called her Nanna Petals, and she most certainly had a love of growing plants especially flowers. Some would say she had a “green thumb” but let me share a little secret….
